FULL MOON IN GEMINI - WHICH IDENTITY ARE YOU LIVING OUT?

This Full Moon in Gemini is inviting you to slow down and pay attention to what you’re thinking and believing - about yourself, the world, and other people. What do you believe is right? Wrong? Bad? Good?

How can you create a bridge of curiosity between those extreme dogmatic this or that thoughts?


The energy of Gemini is curiosity, openness, flexibility and boldness.


Can you be flexible and curious enough to play with different ideas in your head about the exact same scenario? Can you challenge yourself to not identify with the old self but with who you are today or whoever you’re deepening to embody?


Full Moons are about letting go - about closing what was and shifting the energy towards what is (becoming). But it’s not pretending. It’s deeply honest and vulnerable - something only you can gift yourself.


Healing and releasing is important on a mental, energetic, physical and emotional level.


Everything you’d like to grow in your life needs commitment.

Equally, everything that disturbs your life seems to have some ties of commitment to you, not conscious, but it’s there.


So what are the ideas about who you are today, who you were (but maybe didn’t realise yet it’s in the past) and who you’d like to be?


What are the patterns you live out daily? Are they helpful? Well, they can be even if they seem destructive, as bringing awareness to what isn’t working or helpful to your system, to you as a human, to you having this experience on earth, you can acknowledge your hidden commitment to it and maybe even explore why.


Change starts with some choice you make - conscious or not.

But conscious is a bit better as then you’re more aware of your thoughts, habits, self-concepts and life-concepts.


It’s very interesting to become curious about how you see yourself. Explore for today your thoughts and pre-conditioned thinking you have regarding life, certain things that will happen or how things will go, how you will navigate through the day, etc.

Our thoughts can become a self-fulfilling prophecy - in either direction.


Often we still identify with old ideas of ourselves and how certain scenarios will play out. If you’re happy and satisfied with your life, that’s great. But if you feel like something is off..that may be partially also your thoughts, the quality of them and also self-perception.


In life, we go through so many cycles, and certain phases and roles we play will enhance specific brightness AND darkness within us. We work with that, and we explore, deepen, release, rise, etc. YET sometimes those identifications stay.


But just because certain darkness came up in one phase of your life, doesn’t mean it’s accurate where you are now. Same with the brightness. Just because something feels like your flow and brings you joy and satisfaction, doesn’t mean you have to feel it right now. We can’t force these things. We can pay attention to it and attune to ourselves.


How do we do that? By slowing down. Meditation, yin yoga, slow forest walks, sitting with cacao or tea, conscious breathing, maybe also gardening, doing something artistic with our hands.


Here are a few journaling questions for this Full Moon in Gemini - set the intention to be bold, honest and curious as you answer them, and whatever you write, try to find one more angle to it that you’re fully sure isn’t true. :)))


*In what ways are you still re-living your old identities?

*When do those identities come up? When you’re stressed? When you’re happy?

*What do you believe about life right now? Is it true? How are you recycling those ideas?

*What are some patterns and habits you’re tired of? Why are you still doing them? How are you benefiting from it?

*How do you stay safe, and how are you confirming your shortcomings and certain destructive habits or life choices?

*What are easy ways for you to focus on the outside, aka other people, vs. you doing what you know you could be doing? For example, always trying to save others or gossiping, complaining, etc. Basically, what are the excuses you tell yourself for why your life, inner and outer, is?

*What would help you to release some old identities?

*What is one of those things you can do today or this weekend or latest Monday? Maybe that’s a letting go ceremony for yourself - just as an example.


Look, I know many shitty things in human experience come from structural failure in society. We can only start with shifting our own microcosmos. You can’t clean up the world if you’re not ready to clean up your own home and bring peace to your own house. It’s also helpful to do a health check-up up and I recommend unbiased therapy as it’s easy to get into dogmatic extreme circles when not feeling at your centre and full clarity or experiencing heavy dark emotions.
